London Mayor Elections: Appeasement by Ken Livingstone backfired

Ken Livingstone lost the Mayoral election last Thursday. It seems that his divisive nature of the electioneering to appease Muslims has backfired when he commented in a Mosque that if elected he will make 'London a beacon of Islam'.

British Hindu Voice received an excellent response by individuals and organisations that followed up and spread their message to its members. This proves the point that either we Hindus, Jains and Sikhs engage in the political sphere in an effective way and acquire a voice for our values and well being or stay voiceless and become more and more marginalised.

Messages from British Hindu Voice and a copy of e-mail sent to Navin Shah, the Labour party councillor are posted on the website.
