Visit to Hinglaj Mataji Kuldevi in Pakistan
by a Parajiya Pattni family

Report by Ashok Jethalal Sagar, Hon. Sec, UAE Soni Parajiya Samaj

Maganlal Tribhovandas Jagda, and his family travelled to Pakistan to visit Hinglaj Mataji located in Baluchistan.

Maganlal living in Sharjah, UAE is the son of Late Tribhodas Narandas Jagda originally of Una.

Hinglaj Mata is a Hindu temple in Hinglaj, a town on the Makran coast in the Lasbela district of Balochistan, Pakistan.

Hinglaj is an important Hindu pilgrimage place in Balochistan, Pakistan and Kuldevi of many communities. Hinglaj Mataji is revered as divine deity Parajiya Sonis Kuldevi.

It is one of the Shakti Peeth of the Hindu goddess Sati, form of Durga in a mountain cavern on the banks

of the Hingol River.

According to our community's history of  Parajiya Sonis, Hinglaj Mataji gave boon to our ancestors to become Sonis.

Maganlal Tribhovandas Jagda, Rasilaben Maganlal Jagda along with their son Girish and his wife Sonal Girish Jagda started their pilgrimage (yatra) on Monday 19th August

early morning when they reached Karachi airport. It is about 170 miles from Karachi.

Climbing Chorasi mountain (parikrama) located in Balochitan the journey took 5 to 6 hours.

Before visiting Mataji mandir, they took a early morning dip at 5.00am in the divine pit water lakes called Anal Kund. It is believed that Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshman

visted this peeth during their 14 year exile 'vanvas'.

Hinglaj temple is accessible through the Chandra Kup mountain. The family reached the mandir and offered their prayers to Hinglaj Mata by offering Shreefal (coconut).

The family returned back on Thursday, 22nd August 2019.
