Launch of “Hunf”
“Hunf” was launched in the presence of 139 eminent leaders in
All leaders were welcomed with garlands and flowers. Shri Jitubhai Sanghavi presented all with a pocket size Gita and Hanuman Chalisa. On the first day, Bharatbhai Dudakia gave an excellent speech on how to narrow the generation gap between the elders and the newer generation. He also discussed at length on psychiatry and medical psychology.
Among the notable guests were Dr. J.J. Sitapara, Dr. Ketan Bavishi, Sirishbhai Dave, Anandbhai, Umeshbhai Swadia, Mansukhbhai, M.L. Trivedi, Mohanbhaio Garach. Shri Rohitbhai Jani was called upon to give a vote of thanks.
“Hunf”
Hunf means the feeling or warmth that a leaving-being shares with another. This is about “HUNF” for the elderly person / senior citizens - Their talks, their interests, relaxation and their pass time. It is managed by Lions Racecourse Trust, in the Heart of Rajkot city.
The Location is surrounded by Religious places like Jagnath Mandir from one side, Lord Krishna Haweli from another (Jay Shree Krishna), Jain Deraser and Ramkrishna Ashram from the other two directions.
In the “HUNF”
- The senior Citizens will have Large and Rich Library with morning & Evening newspapers and magazines.
- They will have the company of other fellow members which will help them to pass their time and Relax themselves from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
- At present we have the capacity to other and accommodate 60 such senior citizens.
- Each members will be issued a pass according to their time (i.e. the time they are willing to spend in the “HUNF”)
- With a token fee of Rs.1 the members are invited on first come first serve basis.
- The members will be served tea and coffee at 10:30 am and 5:30 pm and Lunch at 12:30 pm
This venture of ours is a gentle try to provide “HUNF” to the senior citizens of our society and Reflex their Experience that they have achieved from their carrier, to the society.
