Harshadbhai Rana, Trustee, Pattni Brotherhood visits London

Harshadbhai always makes a point to visit me whenever he is in London. He was in town last month and was warmly welcomed at my residence with his vevai Chimanlal Poptlal Katira.

 

Two important points that we concentrated in our discussion:

 

1) The World Gathering: After the successful gathering at Dwarka, it is now time to move forward to organise the second gathering.

 

2) Pattni Connection Website: Harshadbhai has been a staunch supporter of Pattni Connection. His 3-4 e-mails every week and phone calls have been an inspiration for me to continue working on the website. We explored various options on the future of the website.

 

Future of Pattni Connection

Harshadbhai and also many members of our community, who are well wishers of the Pattni Connection website are concerned as to who will eventually eventually take over the legacy of the website for the future generation. After eight years of continuous work on the website, it is time for me to slow down. I'll be discussing this important issue with all the Samaj Committees and invite opinions from the members coming few months.

Vijaybhai, chairman of Pattni Brotherhood was in London for few days last week and was my pleasure to warmly welcome him at my residence.

 

We discussed a wide range of important issues facing our Samaj.

 

Hirenbhai Vaya, treasurer of Pattni Brotherhood also joined us by phone from Nairobi and we had tele-meeting discussions including the proposed 2nd World Gathering.

 

Vijaybhai briefed me about the initial difficulties that the Nairobi committee faced in yester years when there was always a shortage of funds as most of the running costs of the PBH Hall were met by donations. Pattni Brotherhood has since made a tremendous progress and now has a surplus and a steady income from the rental income from the PJ Shopping Centre.

 

The current committee has many new ambitious plans to help build stronger Samaj for the future.

Harshadbhai, trustee of Pattni Brotherhood, was in London for few days last week and was my pleasure to warmly welcome him at my residence.

We discussed a wide range of important issues facing our Samaj. He also discussed about the initial difficulties that the Nairobi committee faced in yester years and the tremendous progress made since by Pattni Brotherhood in Nairobi. The current committee has many new ambitious plans to help build even stronger Samaj for the future.

 

I was happy to note Harshadbhai’s comments that the work done on the Pattni Connection website is recognized internationally by all Pattni Samajs. The website has indeed become the main topic of discussion amongst Pattni members worldwide and the main source of information of our community news. Such encouraging and uplifting words of inspiration surely uplift the spirits to work even harder to serve our community.

 

We shared thoughts, ideas and suggestions on the forthcoming World Conference and Harshdabhai will be taking these proposals to discuss further with the committees in India where he has plans to visit soon.

 

Preparation is also been finalized to organise the first ever world gathering of Parajiya Pattnis in Dwarka. Pattni Brotherhood is taking a prominent role to promote this historic event to Pattni members living outside India.
