Pattni Connection - PPA Leicester Videos

Navratri 2009 - Part 1

It was so nice to see so many Leicester members and guests enjoying playing Mataji Garba.

Elders and the respect for elders is a major component in our Indian culture. It was a delightful scene to see so many of our elders playing garba and seating in the front row.

It was a real privilege for us to be called in the front of the hall by the President of the PPA Leicester and felt very proud and fortunate to be able to speak to the Leicester members. We would like to thank the PPA Leicester committee for presenting us with a gift as a memento of our visit. It was very much appreciated.

Video Part 7 108 Samuh Arti
Maa Jagdamba Ni Karo Aaarti - Devi Maa Ni Karo Aarti

108 Samuh Aarti

The evening ended on a beautiful note, as young and old alike gather around and harmoniously to perform 108 Aartis. Team of Mahila Mandal members and volunteers lighted all 108 arti thali in minutes. Hall lights were switched off and the whole environment was baptized into the magical flames of the Mataji Aarti that created the divine atmosphere and spirituality.

It was nice to see our own community members engaged in showing their talent. There were no musical instruments except dhol were played when Vinubhai Haribhai Dhanak beautifully sang this aarti with heart. His voice was admirably suited for singing this beautiful aarti that was supported by talented dhol players Sanjeev Uday Gordhan and Bindiya Mukund Shamjibhai Dhanak.

108 Divine Arti - 2009

The most memorable video – 108 Arti

This one minute video was taken with a mobile phone. It was the most memorable sight.

Brightly lit Mataji alter looked as if she was emanating divine light from her abode and the Aarti divas light-up the night sky like stars floating in the universe.
