Review of the year 2010

Ashish Chandulal, Vice President

Dear all,

As we enter the New Year 2011, letís look back at a successful and eventful year 2010 that we had at the Luton & Milton Keynes Parajiya Pattni Association.

It was indeed a packed event year with a Mothers day function at the start of the year, a coach trip for Shravan mahino to Great Yarmouth, a picnic during the summer months in Northampton and finally our Diwali function and the Mahila mandal satsang.

We would like to thank everyone who participated and contributed to our events and without your generous contributions these events would not be possible.

Diwali Funtion

A big thank you for making the Diwali function the success it was, even though we did not have the turn out we would have liked everyone contributed whole heartedly which made the event pay for its self. There was lots of food left over which you will be pleased to learn was donated to a local homeless drop-in centre in Luton that very evening and the feedback was fantastic. Your contributions fed the homeless in the centre for many days. So a big thank you.

Welcome to New Members

We also welcomed two new families to the community, namely Ashwinbhai Amratlal and Sameetbhai Sukhlal who have recently relocated from London to Luton.  Luton is an ever growing community and we welcome any members whole heartedly.

PPA Luton & MK Mahila Mandal

The last event of the year saw our Mahila Mandal ladies welcome the London ladies and the satsang was held at the local Sanatan Mandir in Luton. Everyone had a great day and food was served after the satsang. Again the leftover food was donated to the drop-in centre for the homeless.

The ladies from London presented a lovely murti of Shree Krishna to the Luton ladies to say a big thank you and I am sure this will not be the last of Mahila events held in Luton too.

Give Us Your Support

Those of you who could not make it to any of our events please please support us in 2011 as we are a small community so everyone turning up makes the difference. We have lots planned for 2011 so watch this space.

Best Wishes for the year ahead,

For and on behalf of the Luton & MK Committee

Ashish Chandulal

Vice President
