Parajiya Pattni Association - London
Parajiya Pattni Association
Firstly, I’d like to extend a safe and healthy welcome to you all & pray that you all continue to stay safe in the current times
As you know, due to COVID-19 and the lockdown which followed as a result, we have not been able move forward with events we had planned in the calendar nor have we been able to organise any further events
I also send my heartfelt condolences to those families who have experienced the untimely death of their loved ones, both friends or family due to this invisible disease. I sincerely hope that all those who have departed rest in peace.
As they say, life does go on and so must we
Slowly but surely, we are no easing out of lockdown and hope this can continue; but this can only be successful if we all continue to take care over the months that follow by adhering to the guidelines set by the Government whilst going shopping, to work or using public transport and ensuring a mask is worn where required. And of course, washing your hands as often as you can.
Despite our events being cancelled, it has been great to see that during the lockdown period, many of you have been entertained by our London Mahila Mandal through their Zoom events every Saturday afternoon; and it has been great to unite the community worldwide. Almost 90-100 community members have logged from around the UK as well as members from USA, Canada, the UAE and Nairobi.
A special thanks goes to all the ladies of the Mahila Mandal for organising these events and creating different themes and creative ideas every time.
Please watch the attached video to sample the hard work and dedication in bringing everyone together and keeping the community spirit alive:

So what does the immediate future hold for PPA London as we look ahead?
The truth is, we simply have to take it, one step at a time and see where we go from here before all of us can once again gather altogether at a live event and resume the fun times like we always do.
I hope & pray that time will not be too far ahead.
Until then, your PPA London Committee will not be committing to nor booking any events until we get go ahead from the Government. Although at present, we still do have reserved bookings for Navratri and Diwali, we cannot confirm these dates will go ahead until it’s appropriate and safe to do so.
Before I sign off, I’d like to invite you to a special Zoom event for Fathers’ Day on Saturday 20th June 2020 from 1.30pm – 3pm
An event to bring together families so all Fathers & children who would like to pay tribute to their Dads are welcome to join.
Zoom link: ID 925 589 201
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday. In the meantime please keep yourselves and your family safe and healthy.
