Diwali Sneh Milan 2014
Greetings from Mombasa.
We organised a get together New Year Samelan at our samaj on Sunday 26th October 2014 from 6.00pm onwards.
Aarti
The function
started off with prayers recited by the Mahila Mandal. It was followed by the Thar
offering to Mataji and Mataji Aarti that was performed by all present.
Thar menu was
assorted cakes, biscuits, paak, vada, fruits etc all brought in by members
themselves
The chairman, trustees & members lit the divas to officially kick off the annual celebrations.
The youths had
organized a quiz and dumb charades game that was eagerly participated by the
oldest as well as the youngest members.
Dinner Time!
Main menu for the dinner was Hara Bhara kebabs, Kachori, Dum aloo, Paneer
makhni, Punjabi moong Daal, assorted pickles & papadums, Jeera rice and hot
Naans.
The dinner is not complete without Ice cold masala lassi. The dessert
served was gajjar halwa with ice cream.
Enjoying the Bollywood Music
All members enjoyed the Bollywood music played by DJ Yahoo rhythms till 11pm.
Youths controlling the event
A vote of thanks was passed to the youth directorate & its members. Nil
Kishor Vaya, Arjun Ajay Ghaghada, Rushay Mahesh Thadeshvar and Deven Kishor
Vaya.for a well organized function.
