Once again our small but vibrant Samaj hosted its members to a New Year Samelan on Thursday 27th October in the evening.

We started with Diya lighting by Mr Harsukhbhai Damji Lakha, Mr Rajendra Jayantilal Visaman and Mr Rajeshbhai Sakaria with their wives. Prayers were recited by the ladies wing.

The entertainment part of the programme started with given by the multitalented youth wing whose performance tickled the ribs of audiences.

Mouth watering dinner was prepared by a local chef Saidi of Mombasa. Pizza, French fries, assorted bhajia's & masala soda to cool down the chilies in bhajia's & pizza, was enjoyed by all the aged & the young.

(Burning this charcoal fire in the kitchen reminded me of good old Mombasa!!)

Still being in festive mood members started an impromptu antakshri between the ladies & gents. Nobody was willing to leave the venue & even the senior members took an active role in the antakshri singing. Many members displayed their hidden talent like professional Bollywood singers!

Without sweets we can say our function is not complete. A bar of cadbury's dairy milk chocolate was given out to all members in the form of prashadi.

We concluded @ 10.00pm & all left in harmony & brotherhood spirit.
