DOUBLE CELEBRATING PLATINUM AND DIAMOND JUBILEES
It is with great pride and honor to inform you all that we are celebrating our Platinum Jubilee this year to mark 75 great years our Samaj was inaugurated.
Another stepping-stone of our Samaj is
NOW OUR NEW VENTURE - MINI SHOPPING COMPLEX
On a point of new development, we are putting up a mini shopping complex on our frontage of the existing building at a cost of K.shs. Five million. The present committee conceived an idea to generate income to the Samaj and cushion against daily escalating maintenance cost. Estimated completion time of this project is August this year.

OPENING CEREMONY OF THE COMPLEX IN SEPT 2012
We plan to have the official opening ceremony in mid September 2012. All members will be notified as soon as we get an official competition date from the contractor.

Any well-wisher wishing to donate towards this worthy project is most welcome.
The full project cost is K.shs. Five million consisting of six shops or in part of K.shs: One million, a choice of one to six shops.
Other worthy events towards the same project are the Opening Ceremonies, Flag Hoisting, Temple Relocation & Aarti, Yagna, Shree Hanuman Recitals etc.

The response to the appeal by the Mombasa Samaj struck close to much sentimentality for
Proud Pattni members have risen to occasion. The amazing generosity of members has also inspired others to make the donations. I shall be all the donations received with me to hand over to the Mombasa Committee personally.
Donations received are in Pounds in round figures. So after converting to K. Shs, there will be some funds left over. All donors have agreed that we spend this amount by distributing food at an orphanage in

Many thanks to all who have contributed to our plea & it is very overwhelming to see many members still have a soft spot for the Mombasa Samaj, although they have left the town many years ago.

PROGRESS REPORT - MINI SHOPPING COMPLEX ON SCHEDULE
The building work on the project has been progressing well, with work on schedule. The construction work formally began with the Khat Muhurat on Saturday 26th May 2012.

The construction works is expected to be completed in August. The tentatively date for the opening ceremony of the complex is set for the weekend of September 8th or 9th 2012.
