Navratri and Atham Yagna 2018


Mombasa Samaj celebrated Navratri with style.   


All community members came together to celebrate Navratri and joined in to play the Garba and Dandia Raas.

SPPS had organised daily morning Garba & Aarti from 10.30am.

On Saturday 13th October 2018 evening, youths and elders came together to create an amazing Navratri experience.

Everyone had a spectacular time, enjoyed the celebrations and danced very well.

Prizes were awarded to some community members for various categories as detailed below.

Shree Parajiya Pattni Samaj, Mombasa Navratri. Guest from Los Angeles, USA, Shree Ravibhai Harsukhlal Damji Lakha was warmly welcomed at the Samaj.

Scrumptious Food !
During the evening, there was a variety of delicious and mouthwatering food available to add flavor to the celebrations. This included: Menu was Pizza, Peri Peri Chips, Farari Chevdo, Potato dry curry, Farari cake, coleslow salad & ice cold Passion Juice. All members enjoyed a bar of whole nut Cadbury chocolate !

Atham Yagna 2016

Atham Yagna ceremony was performed on Wednesday 17th Oct. from 2.30pm till 7.00pm.



This year's on this auspicious occasion, the family of Kishorbhai Vaya and family were the Yajman for the Atham Yagna.

Biddu ceremony followed by Mataji Aarti, Thar offering & Maha Prashad was held at 7.00pm.
