Mombasa Samaj celebrated Navratri with style. All of the community members came together to celebrate Navratri and everyone joined in to play the Garba and Dandia Raas. Everyone had a spectacular time, enjoyed the celebrations and danced very well.

Youths and elders came together to create an amazing Navratri experience this year. Prizes were awarded to some community members for various categories as detailed below.

During the evening, there was a variety of delicious and mouthwatering food available to add flavor to the celebrations. This included: Idli sambhar, Corn Bhel, Peri Peri Chips & Farari dishes, Chokito Barfi & soft drinks.

Shree Jayantilal Jamnadas Nathoo’s family were the Yajman for the Atham Yagna. The family made a donation of KShs 151,000/- to the samaj in loving memory of late Hansaben Jayantilal.

Following the Atham Yagna there was a special lunch menu: potato curry, mix kathor curry, lapsi, bundi, ladoo, moong daal & rice, puri, pickles, papad and lassi.
