Halar Parajiya Soni Gnati Unity meeting of all Parajiya Soni Samaj in the Halar area, that includes districts of Jamnagar and Dwarka was held on Sunday 20 October 2013 at 10.30am at Soni Boarding, Jamnagar

The purpose of the meeting is to unite all Samaj within Halar area, to bring the spirit of brotherhood and to discuss issues facing our community.

Representatives from following regions attended the meeting:

1. Jamnagar: Shri Samasta Parajiya Soni Kelavani mandal

2. Dwarka: Shri Okha mandal Parajiya Soni Samaj (Dwarka Vadi)

3. Jam Khambhalia: Shri Parajiya Soni Seva Samiti (Soni Vadi)

4. Jam Khambhalia: Shri Vaya Parivar Kuldevi Trust
5. Bhanvad: Shri Parajiya Soni Seva Samiti

6. Lalpur: Shri Suvarnakar Association

7. Bhatia: Shri Suvarnakar Association
8. Jamnagar: Yuvak Mandal

9. Jam Jodhpur: Shri Parajiya Soni Gnati Vadi.
 
Representatives were welcomed by Jamnagar Samaj President, Shri Kantibhai Ghaghada.

He apprised them of the objective of the meeting including the details of proposed activities of this new formation. All participants expressed their happiness for attending such meeting.

A new Executive Committee for Halar Parajiya Soni Gnati Meeting was formed with following two members appointed from each Samaj.

1. Jamnagar Samaj: Shri Kantibhai Ghaghada & Shri Narendrabhai Dhakan
2. Jam Khambhalia Vadi & Vaya Parivar Trust: Shri Hasmukhbhai Sagar, Shri Ashwinbhai Vaya & Shri Mukeshbhai Vaya
3. Jam Jodhpur Vadi: Shri Hasmukhbhai Vaya & Shri Nalinbhai Katira
4. Yuvak Mandal, Jamnagar: Shri Pramodbhai Ghaghada & Shri Rajubhai Challa
5. Bhanvad Samiti: Shri Hematbhai Patt & Shri Mansukhbhai Dhakan
6. Bhatia Sanstha: Shri Vasantbhai Dhakan & Shri Natubhai Challa
7. Lalpur Sanstha: Shri Milanbhai Ghaghada & Shri Jayantbhai Vaya
8. Dwarka Vadi:  Shri Haribhai Ghaghada & Shri Kanubhai Ghaghada

One of the topics that was discussed was the future expansion of Vadi at Jam Khambhalia, Bhanvad and Bhatia.

The other decision was to organise the Dhwajarohan (flag hosting ceremony) at Dwarkadhish Temple in December 2013 by all the Pattnis of Jamnagar/Dwarka district with grand festivity.

It was decided to invite guests from all Samaj - Mumbai, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Surat Samaj etc to participate in this grand event.

It was generally agreed that this new unity (sangthan) will offer help to any Samaj needing guidance on its administration  and other community issues.

Meeting ended with speech by the chair person Shri Dhirubhai Dhakan, President of the Federation.

Next meeting

The meeting agreed to meet again at Jam Khambhalia on Sunday 17th November 2013 at Vaya Parivar Kuldevi Trust,

Sumptuous Sunday Lunch was served of delicious Churma Ladu, mix Bhajia, Undhiyu etc.

The press covered this event extensively and the articles were published in Jamnagar Daily "Nobat, "Aajkal" and in Rajkot Gujarat Samachar.
