There was a joyous atmosphere at the bhoomi poojan ceremony on the auspicious day of Akshay Trutiya in presence of community leaders on Tuesday, 21st April 2015.

This bhoomi pooja was held as The Halar Soni Gnati Federation committee had decided that a property to be built for Bhanvad Soni Samaj.

Many of the project’s organizers and major donors including the lead donor Ashwinbhai Manubhai Mohanlal Sagar of Borivali, Mumbai (originally of Bhanvad) attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
The ceremony was performed according to the tradition Vedic rites.

Samaj representatives from Jamnagar - Dwarka - Jam Jodhpur - Jam Khambhalia – etc. graced the auspicious occasion.
Several representatives from institutions like Lalpur, Kalavad and Bhatia were unable to attend the ceremony due to the holy day of Akha Trij.

Ashwinbhai (Mumbai), Narendrabhai Dhakan (Jamnagar) and Kantibhai Ghaghada (Jamangar) attended the pooja that was held at the plot located opposite Shree Dudeshwar Mahadev Mandir.

The Bhanvad Soni Gnati Trustees and committee members - Kishorbhai Dhanak, Kaushikbhai Ghaghada and Vinubhai Ghaghada performed the pooja ceremony.

The ceremony started at 11.00am and thereafter was followed by the Facilitation Programme to honour the donors, volunteers and Samaj representatives.

The main donor, Ashwinbhai Sagar was firstly honoured by the Bhavad Samaj committee with shawl and garland. Halar Parajiya Soni Gnati Federation then followed to honour Ashwinbhai with shawl and garland.

Bhanvad Committee then honoured all Samaj leaders, representatives and guests by giving shawls.

On this auspicious occasion, Dwaka Wadi declared and gave a cheque for Rs 111,111 to the Bhanvad committee that was accepted by Kishorbhai Dhanak.

Rajendrabhai Maganlal Vaya then declared a generous donation of Rs 111,111 in memory of his late father Shree Maganlal Odhavjibhai Vaya (Nandurivara).

Similarly a donation was declared by Narendrabhai Dhakan on behalf of Champaben Rugnath Dhakan.

The lead donor Ashwinbhai Sagar then declared a further donation of Rs 100,000 per year for the next five years to the Education fund.

All these donations were welcomed by the guests with a with thunderous applause.

A delicious lunch followed after the ceremony at the Mahadev mandir. The menu was Shrikhand, Poori, Mix Bhajia, Daal, Rice, Saak and Lassi.

After a short discussion forum, the ceremony was concluded on a high note.

Halar Federation undertakes to build Samaj property in Bhanvad

Halar Parajiya Soni Gnati Federation made of 8 Samaj was formed in 2013. The main aim of the Federation is to improve the standards, social welfare and community development of each member Samaj.

The Halar Federation is made of following Samaj members:
Jamnagar

Dwarka

Jam Jodhpur

Bhanvad

Jam Khambhalia

Lalpur

Kalavad and

Bhatia

Three institutions Jamnagar, Dwarka and Jam Jodhpur at present already have their own Samaj property. Jam Khambhalia Samaj has a wadi (property) but not adequate. Similarly Bhanvad Samaj
has a building but down has not have facilities.

The Halar Federation thus decided to start with Bhanvad to have its own Samaj property.

Kantibhai Ghaghada and Narendrabhai Dhakan when visiting Bhanvad to personally deliver invitation to Bhanvad Samaj to attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations, the committee members took
Kantibhai and Narendrabhai few plots where they can build a Samaj building.

Meeting in Bhanvad

On 2nd March 2013, Ashwinbhai Manubhai Sagar of Mumbai and Vijaybhai Satikuvar, Mumbai Samaj president visited Jamnagar.

After visiting Dwarka, all four leaders decided to go Bhanvad and met the Bhanvad Samaj committee members.

After discussion and visiting those plots decided to buy a 4,000 square foot plot.

Ashwinbhai on behalf of his father Manubhai Mohanlal Sagar made a generous pledge of Rs 19,00,000 as Bhumi Daan (purchase of the plot).

Girdhalal Virjibhai Ghaghada Of Valsad (originally of Verad) declared a donation of Rs 5,00,000 to build a wedding hall.

As a show of solidarity, Dwarka Vadi itself came up with a generous donation of Rs 1,11,111.

Bhanvad Samaj Committee made came up with a donation of Rs 7,00,000 from the following members:
