Donation to the Federation Education Fund
Donation declared by various samaj and some donors at the time of Mahuva General Meeting grown as the Education Fund for better education facilities of samaj children.
Late Shri Babubhai Laxmanbhai Kagdada Parivar, original from Jetpur at present at Bahrain (A. Gulf) has sent Rs. 50,000/- as Corpus Capital Donation to Federation for the Education Fund.
Donation of Rs. 25,000/- each year continuous for 5 years
On behalf of the Parivar (family), Shri Kishorebhai Babubhai Kagdada and Shri Chandubhai Kagdada declared donation of Rs. 25,000/- each year continuous for 5 years at the Mahuva Meeting. Though donors were at Bahrain but vide telephonic contact with Shri Gunvantbhai Dhorda (Secretary, Federation) and Shri Pravinbhai Challa made the declaration during the meeting session.
As per declaration, two cheques for Rs. 25,000/- each have been received by the Federation.
Donors and Samaj has have responded to the Federation appeal and have started to send the donation to raise “Education Fund”. Till today following donation received for this fund:

There are many children in our community who are talented but unable to fulfill their ambitions due to lack of funds and their parents unable to provide financial assistance.

Worldwide Appeal for the Education Fund
Every community strive to help and encourage their children to further their education. These students with abilities will one day contribute towards growth, prosperity of their communities. It is important that our Samaj also do the same.
Many communities have set up Education Funds to assist their students. These communities also organise functions to award high achievers to inspire others.
The aim of the Federation is to help Pattni students who need finance to further their education. It should be our aim to encourage students to become professionals and graduates like MBA, MBBS, CA, Engineering, PhD, IAS, IPS, etc.,. There are many children in our community who are talented but unable to fulfil their ambitions due to lack of funds and their parents unable to provide financial assistance.
The Federation Executive Committee met on Sunday 2nd December 2007 at Shri Chamunda Mataji Trust Guest House in Chotila, to discuss financial aid to the community children.
Resolution to launch the largest Education Fund to raise One Million Rupees
The committee passed the resolution and approved the issue 10,000 "Donation Card" of Rs100/- each to raise Rs10 lakhs (one million rupees) Education Fund for the community students.
Interest earned on the fund will be used to help our Samaj students who need financial assistance for their education. The funds will be offered subject to merit, need and eligibility.
A small amount of Rs100 per donation card was agreed to allow the maximum number of Pattni families, those who are well off as well as those with limited resources, to participate in this Education Fund.

The Federation’s representatives, their members, other Pattni Samajs and Associations around the world are invited to contact the Federation and are requested to join in this noble cause.
We are determined to help our children in their education to achieve their goals. We are resolute to help needy children financially achieve their ambition.

Let us aim is to unlock the potential of these underprivileged students and give them the opportunity by helping them with financial assistance to continue their studies. Pattni Samaj making History
All Pattni media publications are getting together to make a concerted appeal to members appeal for education fund worldwide. The message and details of education fund will be published in next issue of "Parajiya Prakash", "Parajiya Samachar", "Soni Sandesh" (Mumbai), and "Yuva Sandesh" (Ahmadabad) and the Pattni Connection website. This is the first time in the history of Pattni Samajs around the world have come together.
Arrangement are being made to distribute Donation Cards to various representatives of members’ institutions. As the amount per donation card is mere Rs100, the response has been excellent.
Philanthropy in Pattni Samaj - Thank you for your generosity
After the announcement of “Education Fund” on the website, the Federation received a number of generous donations. One family from UK donated Rs100,000 in memory of their parents. Many more have donated generously, amounts vary from Rs1000 to Rs11,000.
Making a donation “In Honour of” is a wonderful way to donate. By making your donation "In memory of" a family member, your beloved will not only be honoured in prayer, but will be a blessed gift that will bring happiness to our Parajiya children in need. Every donation makes a difference. We shall list all donors on the website.
The Federation is made up of 25 Parajiya Pattni Soni Samajs in India. This is a genuine endeavour to set up an Education Fund. Each and every cent will be accounted for as it will be supervised by the Federation Committee. They need your support. The Federation has worked hard to set up this education fund to provide assistance to deserving students. Let us all contribute to this fund.

The fund will be used for the upliftment of community education.
Any Pattni member can send his personal cheque and it is acceptable to us. No need to send draft or tele-transfer that carries bank charges.

By living abroad, we have the advantage to help those who need our services most. Thank God for all what we have achieved.
If we calculate in our foreign currency, the target set by the Federation of one million Rupees is very moderate. In works out around £12,500 pounds sterling or $25,000 US Dollars
If 250 members residing in UK donate just £50 each, the target of £12,500 is met.
If 250 members from UAE contribute 370 Dhirhams, that will be 10 lakhs Rupees
If 250 Pattni members from other parts of the world contribute just $100 each, then that’s one million Rupees.
If 1000 members living in India donates just Rs1000, that’s is also Rs 10 lakhs
In short we can easily achieve the target and may even exceed it.
If you wish them to achieve the same as what you have attained, please help these needy students by contributing. This will go a long way for the existence of these needy students. The Federation’s aim is to provide long-term solution for the needy students. Every application for assistance is well scrutinised by the committee to ensure the money is properly spent.
Let us all give a chance to these children to earn a living and to lead independent lives to help their families and also one day become an asset to our community. Remember they are our community children. They are our children. Please help to achieve their dream.

Philanthropy in Action
Lion hearted Parajiya Pattni members responded to the plea for help
Few months ago, in our website’s Open Forum, we had a plea for financial assistance from one student for his further education - to pay for his tuition and airfares.
Several members came forward and responded to his plea. They all contributed £100 each that paid for his tuition fees. Then a philanthropic member came forward and agreed to give a sponsor him.
We are pleased to inform the members of our community that the student managed to get admission at one of the London University.
And now more happy news -
A student repaid back tuition fees to the Parajiya Pattni Federation
At the starting year of Federation (2001), the Federation received a request from one brilliant student from Ahmadabad to help him for his tuition fee, college fee etc.
Federation responded and had given Rs.7,000/- to that student. After six years of hard work, this year, he successfully completed his C.A. - Charter Accountancy.
That student is Mr. Manav Jayendra Dhakan (originally from Savarkundla). His family is staying at Ahmedabad. Manav has now got a good job in Tanzania that is fetching a good salary.
His father Mr. Jayendrabhai Dhakan came to the Federation office and returned Rs. 7,000/- education aid given to Manav and also donated Rs. 2,100/- in joy of Malav getting job. Mr. Jayendrabhai expressed lot of thanks towards timely help by Federation Committee.
Federation Committee is proud that due to help of Federation Money some one has uplifted his life.

Executive Committee Meeting

The Committee will be discussing about the financial aid for education purpose to be provided to community children. The Federation has received few promises for the Education fund that will assist needbased students for their professional course.
Each and every time meeting is arranged at host place by invitation of various samaj or federation members. This time, the Federation vice president Shri Bhaskarbhai Thadeshwar has invited for meeting to be held at Chotila. Shri Bhaskarbhai and Federation Secretary Shri Chimanbhai Thadeshwar are trustees of Chamunda Mataji Guest House Trust.

Pattni Connection Pledge to the Education Fund
As mentioned in my past newsletter, we can raise lot of money through advertisements on the website. Our aim is to use this advertisement revenue for good causes. What better cause than to use money to help our own community children.
Thus we have informed the Federation that whenever we are ready to start accepting advertisements, the monies collected within India would go straight into this Education Fund.
Although we are still working on the Modus operandi – the structure of how advertisements would work, our main aim is to ensure that our Pattni Community benefit from the website. We shall also be discussing with other Pattni Samajs outside India about the best way we can use the revenue that will be generated outside India
We invite members to make their valuable suggestions. We shall also be inviting community members who are working in the advertising agencies to offer their professional services to guide us to get the maximum benefit for our community
