Hair to Care - Fundraising for Little Princess Trust
Pooja to donate her hair for a noble cause

Pooja Hiten Vaya, Nairobi

Pooja Hiten Vaya has been growing her hair for over a year now to donate it to a cause which is very close to her heart - cancer.

She lost her father because of cancer nearly 30 years ago when there was no cure for this ailment.

Pooja says "Today, we are lucky to have treatment options for cancer but not every cancer survivor can be ready to face the world with a different appearance, especially a child".

She will be donating 12" or more of her hair to Little Princess Trust who provide real hair wigs free of charge to girls and boys who have lost their own hair due to cancer.

Pooja is supporting a cause through a charity organization called Little Princess Trust in the UK- http://www.littleprincesses .org.uk/.

This charity provides free of charge, real hair wigs to children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.

While she was just planning to donate her hair to this charity, some of her colleagues and friends expressed their interest and encouraged her to create a fundraising drive

so that they could also be part of this amazing thing! Thanks to them, she has created a fundraising page.

Appeal to donate generously

Pooja is taking this opportunity to accompany her hair donation with your generous contributions to maximize the impact.

The cost to the charity to purchase one wig on average is around £350 when they cannot source the hair wig made from donated hair.

Absolutely any amount that you can contribute towards this cost will help the charity to continue to provide wigs to the boys and girls that need them.

Please feel free to donate generously online directly to the charity through Pooja's  fundraising page.

Thank you
