Harshil Harshadbhai Pattni - is a high flyer

Harshil Harshadbhai Pattni

The family and friends of Lakha Parivar are very proud to announce that with Thakorji’s krupa our son Harshil, son of Late Harshadbhai Himatlal Hirji Lakha has successfully passed all the exams to become a fully-fledged Airline Pilot.

From childhood Harshil wanted to fly aeroplanes. We are so delighted that he has not only fulfilled his ambition but the dreams of his late father Harshadbhai.

Harshil was born in Mombasa Kenya in 1990. He spent most of his childhood in Mombasa, Kenya.

Harshil left Mombasa in 2007 when he was 17 years old and came to study in the UK with his mother Darshnaben and two sisters Radhika and Priyanka.

They settled in Crawley, near Gatwick Airport in west Sussex. He had to work extremely hard to pass all his exams to qualify entry requirements to the Oxford Aviation Academy.

Oxford Aviation Academy is one of the world's leading flight training organisations and has been training high calibre pilots throughout its vast history.

Voluntary work while studying

Whilst Harshil was studying he became the Assistant Treasurer and key member of the Mandir (Gurjar Hindu Union - GHU), UK.

He worked tirelessly and helped to raise very large sums of funds for the Mandir. GHU has recently constructed a very modern Santatan Mandir (Temple in Crawley) and a Community Centre at a cost of £4 million. It was formerly opened in 2010.

In whole of Crawley, Harshil is very popular and well known for “never saying no” to any small or large work.

All the hard work Harshil has done has paid off - he now needs to look for a good job.

We are all so proud of him.

Well done Harshil and congratulations.
