Darshan Dipak Soni

University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) has announced the winners of the 2010 Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards in Kenya.

Darshan Dipak Soni, aged 17, academically gifted student in Kenya have come top in the world in their Cambridge international examinations. He was awarded an Outstanding Learner Award by University of Cambridge International Examinations for gaining the highest mark in Kenya in the June 2010 IGCSE over 7 subjects. He is continuing his A levels in Nairobi, Kenya.

Cambridge qualifications develop independent learners, and prepare students for success in their further studies and beyond. Many Pattni members said his high grades are due to the quality of teaching he had received, the support of his family and friends, as well as his own hard work and commitment to studies.

Darshan is the son of Rajeshwari and Dipak Jivanlal Soni (Dhakan). His paternal grandparents are Vijyaben and Jivanlal Ramjibhai Kurji of Harrow, UK and his maternal grandmother is Nirmadaben Amratlal Kakubhai Hirji (Sagar) of Stanmore.

The feeling you get when you realise that all the hard work has paid off is something one can know only if you have experienced it. The whole family and friend circle are over the moon on Darshan�s achievement.

Rushika Jayprakash Pattni - "Outstanding Student" award in Tanzania

This year Rushika is completing her final year of Cambridge A-level. Last year, she got 8 A* in IGCSE along with the Cambridge "Outstanding Student" award in Tanzania for IGCSE Economics. She applied to universities in USA and got accepted to Yale University, Princeton University and Smith College on full scholarships. She is planning to join Yale University and hopefully major in Economics and Environmental Studies.

Rushika, age 18 is the daughter of Mrs Indiraben and Mr Jayprakash Hirji Dana. Her 20 year old brother is completing his fourth year at Trinity University in Texas, USA, on full scholarship. Her 16 year old sister is going to start IB at International School of Tanganyika after having been chosen as one of the top five scholarship students from Tanzania.

Kintan

Kintan Jasvantrai Dhakan completed the MBA

Dhakan family is proud to inform that Kintan, son of Mrs. Bhartiben and Late Mr. Jasvantrai Pranjivandas Dhakan had completed the MBA from Nirma University this year and now started his own construction firm name Parajiya Inc and Svasaar Value Builders.

Kintan had a very hard struggle in his early life. His father died when he was in the 11th standard and due financial situation, was forced to abandon his study to look after his father�s jewellery business. After 5 years tirelessly in the gold jewellery making work he realised that without education he faces a bleak future.

His strong desire is to finish his studies despite the hardship paid off. He gave HSC exam then joined Bachelor of Computer Application and now completed Master of Business Administration.

Kintan�s achievement is an inspiration to all younger members of our community who joins their family business and then looses confidence to go back to education.

Where there's a will, there's a way. If Kintan can do it, you can too. Just keep trying. Yes, you can!

Jatin

Jatin Manharlal Ghagahda completed ACCA

We are proud to inform that Mr Jatin Manharlal Ghagahda son of Mr. Manharlal Harilal Ghagahda and Mrs. Minaben Manharlal Ghagahda had completed the ACCA Graduation this year and now join leading firm in Nairobi.

On this happy occasion of his achievement, the family announced a Khusi Bhet (donation) of INR 1,000/- to Akhil Bharatia Parajiya Soni Federation Education Aid.
