Shree Amubhai Dhakan recommended for Padma Shree Award

Lions Club has sent their recommendations to the President of India for the prestigious Padma Shree award for Shree Amubhai Dhakan.

 

His citation has been accepted and his bibliography has been forwarded to the award cell of the President’s office. Their recommendations are now being processed.

 

Shree Amubhai is widely recognised for his immense contribution to the social betterment as well as raising funds for many charities. The bibliography and citation form for Padma Shri award has been also uploaded on the website of shri amubhai that is www.hunfseva.org.

Padma Shree - India's fourth highest honour

Padma Shree is an award given by the Government of India mostly to Indian citizens taking recognition of their distinguished contribution in various spheres. The award stands fourth in the ranking hierarchy of civilian awards. In order first being Bharat Ratna, then the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan.

 

The award seeks to recognize work of any distinction and is given for distinguished and exceptional achievements/service in all fields of activities/disciplines, such as Art, Literature and Education, Sports, Medicine, Social Work, Science and Engineering, Public Affairs, Civil Service, Trade and Industry etc.

 

It is the usual practice is to invite recommendations every year from all departments of the Government of India as well as private individuals, bodies etc., They are then placed before the Padma Awards Committee. The recommendations made by the Awards Committee are submitted to the Prime Minister and the President for their approval.

 

The Awards are announced on 26th January every year and are presented by the President of India in an Awards presentation Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

TV interview with Shri Amubhai Dhakan

Shri Amubhai, a prominent member of our community was interviewed by the satellite channel Etv Gujarati under their program SAMVAD. This program takes interviews of the public and dignitaries. It was first in samvad program that host not directly started questing about the work done but he read out the services undertaken by Shri Amubhai. The host was Mr. Jay Vasavada a highly renowned philosopher and a columnist in Gujarat Samachar morning daily.

PastEditor of the “Parajiya Samachar”, Shri Amubhai Dhakan has been awarded for his selfless and continuous service for medical treatment of catarrh patient. The news has been published in every prominent local news papers with photographs of the award ceremony.

An award ceremony held in Jamnagar by Lions Club International District 323 is the district that covers all the lion clubs in Saurastra – Kutch.

The VIP at the ceremony included some prominent personalities. The District Governor for District 323,  Lion Gitaben Savla, along with Through whom the multiple vice-chairman Sudhirbhai Sogani, Treasurer Bharatbhai Shah, Mukulbhai Seth and also Governors from Khambhat, Ajmer, Surat and also the mayor of Jamnagar Mayor Manharbhai Zala, Jitbhai Lal (President of the Chamber), Vikrambhai Maadam (Member of the legislative assembly) were present at the ceremony.
Shree Ambubhai Dhakan (President of the Racecourse Club, Chairman of the Site first was given an award for his services to humanity.


Amubhai has been recognised for his distinguished service of a high degree for humanity in many fields for which he has received eight awards in the past. We are preparing a profile on Shri Amubhai and will be published soon.
