Smt. Kumudben Jivanlal Ladha Patt, Leicester (originally Mombasa)

The Ladha Jessa Family is deeply saddened by the great loss of Kumudben.

She was born in a small island called Pemba in Tanzania on 9th of May 1940 (Vaisakh Sud Baras (12), 2065).

She later moved to Mombasa, Kenya when she got married to Jivanlal Ladha Patt. She became a proud mother and was blessed with three children, Dharmesh, Mehul and Manisha.

She was very joyous person with infectious smiles and love for everyone. She had never complained about anything or anyone as she has lived her life as precious gift of God, a very gentle soul. She loved her 3 children and her nephews and niece as her own children too. Kumudben's elder nephew (Jitu) has not only cared for her at her good times of life but also given full support when she was struggling with her heart condition for the past 32 years. In a few words it is next to impossible to summarise about her life and relationship with everyone in the family.

The last 9yrs she has been in the UK in Leicester. She enjoyed most of her time looking after her grandchildren and was an example of strength, love along with unity to the family she was an epitome as despite being unwell she would always welcome everyone with a smile and never a frown on her face. Words again are less to express for a charming soul like her.

Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we can possibly go through. The support meant a great deal to us by phones and emails, messages of Condolences on Pattni Connection, prayers and visits to our residence, as we struggled with our heartbreaking loss.

We are unable to write individual thank you to each one of you, given the great outpouring of support. Please know that your generosity, thoughtfulness and the emotional support that you all gave us have touched us deeply.

Knowing that we were not alone helped us bear our grief and sadness. Thank you all for being there for us.

She is now at peace and that thought is what made us get through the experience of losing our mentor, our model, our mum.

Laaut aa Maa Teri Zarurat Hai

Labon pe tere kabhi koi baddua na hoti

Baas ek tu thi maa jo kabhi khaffa na hoti

Teri mithi baaton main thi meri khushiya chupi

Chamak uththi aankhe mere ek muskurahat se

Jab kabhi main udaas ya pareshan ho jati

Maa tuhi dua karti hui aa jati khwaab main

Kyun aankh micholi khelte ho tum humse

Aankhe meri tujhe dhunti hai har parchai main

Jab sochti hoon ki kaise dur reh paungi tumse

Chubne lagta hai mujhe har pal teri judai main

Maa tu mere liye bhagwaan ki surat hai

Laaut aa Maa mujhe abhi bhi teri zarurat hai
