Shrimad Bhagwat Saptah in London

Nand ghare anand bhayo Jai Kanhiya Lalki                           Saptah recital by Achariya Shree Rajubhai Shshtriji

Srimad Bhagwat Saptah in London

Saptah organised Sharadbhai and Ashokbhai Babulal Dhanak and the family to pray for peace and solace to ‘pitru dev’ souls, took place on Sunday 10th September to Sunday 17th September 2006 in London. It was recited by Acharaya Shree Rajubhai Shastri of Mathura, India. We have received some photos that are now uploaded in our website.

The saptah organised by Sharadhbhai Babulal Pattni was a huge success. Pattnis from all over the country and also from abroad came to participate in the Saptah. Last day of the Saptah was the finale - Shri Yamuna ji loti utsav.

Hindus believe that Yamuna paan (drinking water) of Shri Yamunaji (spiritually speaking) of Shri Yamunaji will make soul pure whereby they will get a chance to do the sewa of Bhagwan Shri Krishna.

Loti Utsav was celebrated with108 Lotis in a packed mandir. The atmosphere was electric, particularly during the opening of the Loti. Apart from the religious aspect, it also became a cultural event when a young lady performed a delightful classical Krishna dance. The ceremony was concluded with Havan on Sunday 17th September

We hope to upload more memorable photos of Parajiya Pattnis who took part in the Saptah soon

Editor’s note:-
The Shrimad Bhagwat is one of the most sacred books of the Hindus

Shrimad Bhagwat provides that light which enables Jeeva (human being) to experience the wonderful freedom of liberation. It expresses this philosophy through the narration of the life stories of 24 incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Amongst these, the tenth volume of the Shrimad Bhagwat narrates in infinite detail, the story of Lord Krishna

By listening to the katha would understand God and learn the way to reach him, helping inducing spiritual growth within themselves and most importantly becoming righteous and virtuous human beings. The Shrimad Bhagwat katha narration creates a major transformation, bringing to a grief ridden family solace, comfort, equanimity and a philosophic vision. The Katha drew them out of their sorrow and removed them from their mourning.

It is not that Bhagwat Katha liberates the departed soul alone. It even frees surviving members from sorrow, attachment and fear. Thus liberation is in a wider concept. It is not as if one is liberated only after one dies. It can be experienced even during a person’s lifetime, now and here also. That is the teaching of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha.

This is an ideal opportunity for Pattni members to listen and get the spiritual experience.

Sharadbhai’s family has asked to invite all members to come and take part in the Shrimad Bhagwat Saptah
