Pattni Connection

There are different kinds of abuse that can happen in different contexts. The most prevalent type of domestic abuse occurs in relationships.

Anyone can be a victim of domestic abuse, age or ethnicity.

For anyone who feels they are at risk of abuse, it is important to remember that there is help and support available to you, including police response, online support,
helplines, refuges and other services.

Kirti Soni

Kirti Soni is a Psychotherapist with many years experience working across all cultures and communities, providing psychological support at the Grenfell fire  and
currently heading Covid-19 Mental Health Support.

Having lived in UK, UAE and India she has seen and supported not just members of the Soni samaj but other communities too, in matters of Domestic disturbances,
and she does this in a confidential and safe manner for all parties.

Seema Dhanak

She deals with Domestic Abuse cases on a regular basis at work and gives practical advice and support so that the abused can get the help that they need,
whether it's police, accomodation , food or clothing, Seema is able to help point them in the right direction.

Video Discussion with Kirti Soni and Seema Dhanak

Both ladies do all this work 24/7 because emergency calls usually come in the middle of the night, and fact that they do it as a voluntary activitity means they are
asset to our community for their selfless service.

Thank you Kirti Soni and Seema Dhanak, we are proud of you as Parajiya Pattni Sonis

(Kirti Soni is the daughter of Prabhavanti Maganlal Karsan - Kagadada and Seema Dhanak daughter of Lataben Vasantbhai Govindbhai - Challa)
