Message from Hiren Vaya,  Treasurer, Pattni Brotherhood, Nairobi, Kenya

Vaya Parivar’s Kuldevi is located at only one place in Vadatra which is few Km away from Jam-Khambhalia (Dist Jamnagar). Few years back the temple was shifted to the Main Town Jam Khambhalia. Vaya families have now reinstated and renovated the old temple at Vadatra. Both these temples are run by the same trust.

Understanding Navchandi Yagna and Chandipath

Vaya Family’s Kuldevi
Bhawani Maa
Maa Bhawani as one of the manifestations of the supreme power that is worshipped as the Kuldevi of Vaya families. Vaya family also perform Puja of Momai Maa.

Chandipath means - Chandi (Mother-Energy) Path (recitation). The Upnisads, the essence of Vedas, sing the glory of the Mother-worship, "Matru  Devo Bhava" is the famous saying of the Upnisad. When God, Himself incarnates as Mother, naturally it brings additional harmony to the Mother-worship.

Chandi Yagna

Chandi or Durga has been bestowed with different shakti power from all devtas. Therefore is also known as Maha Shakti. She was born with the energy coming out of all the devtas bodies and combining to become one.  Durgadevi is worshipped in many forms with each having its own significance. Thus there are different pujas associated with her. Navchandi is a Durga pooja normally done to make our wishes come true and can also be performed for many other reasons.

The Chandi Yagna is a very unique sacrificial rite involving powerful Saptasati mantras. These mantras are 700 in number, spreading across 13 chapters of the Makandeya Puran. These chapters are divided into three parts.

The 1st chapter is devoted to Goddess Durga.

2nd 3rd  4th chapters praises the greatness of Goddess Maha Lakshmi.

The remaining chapters are devoted to Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of Learning.

By performing the Chandi Yagna, all the sufferings are removed. There is a popular Puranic saying that there are only two Gods who respond immediately to the prayers of the devotees. They are Goddess Chandi and Lord Ganesh. The tantric puranic texts shows that the Chandi Yagna gives benefits like good health, wealth prosperity, longevity, food, wealth, fame, success, strength etc., Removal of fear ailment, danger, defeat in the hand of adversaries etc., By performing this yagna, evil planetary influences are removed.

We send our good wishes to Vaya Famiies worldwide and compliment the Jam Khambhalia committee and the volunteers for organising Shree Mataji Nav Chandi (Yagna) Havan
