Fundraising in her memory, Baby Hope

Baby Hope

Baby Hope was born in November 2016 to Meera, daughter of Sheela (Treasurer, PPA Luton & MK) and Harish Pattni (Trustee, PPA Luton & MK) in Luton.

She was a beautiful baby. Grandparents saw her almost immediately after her birth and she was gorgeous.

A few hours later she was taken away for tests etc. The family did not realise if anything was wrong.

Unfortunately a few days later she was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 or commonly known as Edwards syndrome.

The family was shocked to hear the news.

Trisomy 18

None of us had heard about Trisomy 18. It is a life limiting genetic illness and disorder that impacts about 1 out of every 2000 pregnancies.

Hope was not expected to make it home. But she fought on and gave us 11 months of joy and happiness.

Unfortunately, Hope lost the hard battle and passed away in October 2017.

Fund raising in memory of Hope

Meera is now trying to bring awareness about this condition Trisomy 18. Their friend Robin is running in the London Marathon 2018 in memory of Hope
and to bring about awareness of this syndrome.

All donations will be given to 2 hospices- Shooting Stars in South London and another Hospice in South Africa (Hope was half South African).

These hospices do a wonderful job of helping families during these difficult times.

Any donations, big or small, will make a huge difference to these charity run hospices in providing so much help and support to families that need it.

Help Meera change the world! Make a donation now.
