Jenni and Bhaskar Chunilal Pattni joins part of a team to treat hundreds of people who have no other access to dental care in Uganda.


Bhaskar and Jenni are heading out on a two week volunteering charity trip to Uganda with the Dentaid organisation in September-October this year.


Bhaskar Chunilal Pattni, originally from Jinja, Uganda is the son of Late Chunilal Chhaganlal Morarji Challa and Pushpaben Chunilal Morarji who lives
in Tooting, London.

He works as an IT consultant for Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Notingham and his wife Jenni is a qualified Dental Nurse with 30 years experience.



The Dentaid team will be travelling to some of the most remote locations in Uganda to help children in orphanages and prisons, the elderly, less fortunate and
the most vulnerable to get out of dental pain, infections and potential life threatening diseases.

The team take dental equipment donated by practices in the UK along with volunteer Dentists/ Orthodontists/ Hygienists/ Oral Heath specialist / Dental Nurses
who perform the treatments.


Bhaskar and Jenni will be giving 2 weeks of their time and skills to be part of a team of 12.


Equipment will also be left with adequate training for local dental care teams so that they can continue the work.

On their last trip the average number of people they helped was around 150 per day!. One recent trip went to a village so small and remote that they had never
seen motorised vehicles! One person they helped was a man who had been suffering from a toothache for 9 years!!
